Colchester Livestock Market has been at its current site running weekly primestock sales since 1900. Cattle and Sheep sales are held every Tuesday with occasional store sales being held in the Spring and Autumn. We have a loyal contingent of buyers ranging from the local butcher to wholesaler with good stock coming from farmers in Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The sale of sheep begins at 11.00 with the cattle following on starting no earlier than 12.00. All stock is required to be on the market site no later than 10.45 to allow for a prompt start to the sale.
