Livestock Market
Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak Stanfords wish to confirm that their weekly Tuesday sales of all classes of sheep and cattle will continue to be held.
However, in order to mitigate the risks associated with the spread of the virus for the time being access to the market will be restricted to vendors and buyers together with necessary staff.
We would ask all attendees to the market to use maximum bio security, ensuring the hands are washed at all times and that close contact is minimised.
Any person showing symptoms of the virus or has an underlying health issue should not attend the sales.
Following government guidelines any pregnant woman should also not attend the sales.
Soap and water is available for washing and should be used.
Saturday Country Market
It is with great reluctance that we have decided that with immediate effect the Saturday Market will be suspended. We understand this will be an enormous loss to our loyal vendors and buyers but we have taken this very difficult decision following the general government advice and also recommendations of the Auctioneers Association of England and Wales.
We are looking to conduct specialist sales of certain items in the near future and the intention will be to open as soon as we can with a weekly review to take place every Thursday.
If you do wish to discuss please contact Graham Ellis or Steven Ellis or any other members of the team at Stanfords who would be happy to discuss the current situation.
